Selena Gomez has a worldwide fame as an actress and a singer. Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the most prestigious projects that she has been a part of and achieved the greatest successes, is her own project. Selena Marie Gomez, her full title is. Her birth date was the 22nd of July 1992 on the 22nd of July in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. Selena's mother, Amanda Cornett, was just 16 years old at the time Selena was conceived. As a 9-year-old Selena made her first role on the stage by playing Gianna in Barney and her Friends. As a result, she played with the most humane and red dinosaurs. Selena made an appearance in many episodes of seasons 7 and 8 from 2001 - 2003. Selena was not the only performer who appeared on Barney as well as His Friends in this time period. Demi Loveto also worked on the show. Selena Gomez tried out for several roles after she left Barney and Friends however, she failed. There was a small role as a character in Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003. She also had another in 2004 as Julie on Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. The role of Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her in 2006's Brain Zapped, for which she also wrote a music.
