Aisha jamila Hinds was born in America and is best-known for her role on The Shield. Since her first appearance in 2003, she has shown her acting versatility by providing outstanding performances on television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. She was first noticed in 2005 when she played the character of Anna which was featured in Assault on Precinct 13 It was however her role as the women's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally made her an actress. Hind was also praised for the role she was playing in the role of Harriet Tubman within WGN America's period-drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The series is renewed for the third installment with 20th Century Fox Television. Hind completed filming recently in the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters. That that same year, she got named the first Indian actress to be on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan was in Bride and Prejudice, a dance and musical adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by Gurinderchadha. Bachchan was able to bring both her glam power as well as her beautiful appearance to her first major English film. Her return to Bollywood was to be seen in Dhoom: 2 2006 before she made Provoked: An True Story (2006).
