Bernadette and Jen

Bernadette is an American performer, singer and author of children's books. She was born Bernadette in 1948. In a five-decade career her appearances have been in television and musicals along with solo shows as well as recorded recordings. She's been nominated for seven Tony Awards and won two and eight Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards were won for four Broadway casting albums, in which she performed. Peters initially appeared on stage as a child and then an actress in her teenage years during the 1960s, and later in films and television in the 1970s. The public praised her for this earlier work as well as for her appearances in The Muppet Show The Carol Burnett Show and other TV shows and also for her roles in films like Silent Movie The Jerk Pennies from Heaven and Annie. Her return to Broadway in the late 1980s which was when she became the most famous Broadway star for the next thirty years. Peters has also recorded 6 solo albums as well as several singles. She has also recorded several cast albums. In addition, she performs regularly in her own solo act. Peters continues to work in television and film where she was nominated three time for Emmy Awards.
